I decided to choose the essay “I See Why Others Choose to Die.” The author of this essay had been with cancer in April 2004. He had surgery in hopes of surviving cancer, just to find that it had come back in December and was quickly spreading throughout his body. He saw how the cancer was taking a toll on his family and close friends. He was no longer able to play with his son, travel, or even go to work any longer. By him prolonging his pain and suffering, he was also prolonging the healing time of his family and friends. I can with the pain and agony the cancer put on his frail body. My father would always say, “God take the pain or take me.” The cancer took over his body completely and took his life and my father. The author did not want his family or friends to suffer along with him. Although he did not take his own life, he understood how others could choose to die and so can I.

Although I have not yet completed my final paper I believe that it can effectively persuade may audience or readers to be on my side. I think that I have completed enough research to have a sufficient amount of facts and information to support all of the main points that I will be discussing in the paper. The topic of the final paper is child immunization. The topic is personal to me because I have children who can be affected by others if they are properly vaccinated at the have not received their vaccinations. This situation is risking the health and well-being of so many other children who not able to receive proper vaccinations because of their age or current health conditions. Personally, I do not think that the paper will come off biased to my readers, but others may not see it my way. Everyone his or her own ways of looking at different situations and topics they may encounter from day to day.
