New Health Medical Systems is expanding the hospital to create a center for critically ill patients. This expansion mandates that new employees are found to fill these positions. Finding the qualified technicians seems to be the only position that the HR department is having a hard time filling. In this paper, it will be discussed the staffing strategic plan that is aligned with the company’s new direction. Furthermore, it will be discussed what recommendations are needed to achieve the company’s organizational goals.

The new strategic direction that the company wants to go into is creating a center for critically ill patients. The HR consultant has to create 35 new jobs to fill the technician’s positions for the critically ill patients at the new center. The consultant has formulated several ideas to try to recruit qualified technicians to apply and stay with the new center. Giving new employees a bonus to earn when they stay within the company presents itself as a smart idea to try to maintain staff with a low turnover rate. Contacting staffing services is a way to find professional qualified technicians for the new center. This allows other qualified people to organize job candidates and only give qualified individuals the chance to apply. This saves the HR consultant time in not having to search through hundreds of applications from people who do not have the experience for the position. The HR consultant has recommended good ways to try to obtain the 35 qualified technicians needed to go into the new strategic direction that the company wants creating a center for critically ill patients.

One additional recommendation to help the company find the qualified technicians is to put a job posting on the Internet at a common job site such as monster.com....
