Describe how Enron could have been structured differently to avoid such action? I feel after reading about the company the following could have been structured differently.

Not hiring people from outside of the company and giving them power to make major decisions that would affect the company ( Google 2009) I think this was a major mistake hiring people from the outside to have this much control over the company. Then the company had a reward system in place that gave Top Performers bonuses and stock options that was handle internally and not monitored very well. People where able to make friends with the people who were monitoring the bonus checks this should have never happen to much freedom to give bonuses.(Bing 2010). The average worker was afraid to turn anyone in due to the fact it was no structure in the company, and they were afraid of losing their jobs.

Discuss whether Enron’s officers acted within the scope of their authority? This was an easy question to answer even without doing much research. The companies Officers did not act within the scope of their authority. They abused it, and this is the reason the company landed in so much trouble. The officers needed to have someone to monitor their actions but nothing was done so this was a main reason for the company down fall as well. Example the money and how it was flowing as bonuses was a clear sign. Then you have your top people in your organization taking what they can.

Describe the corporate culture at Enron. While researching and looking up Enron I have come up with the following assessment about the culture at Enron.
