Introduction
In writing this paper I was given the chance to research some different areas of aviation logistics and the effects of those logistics as they are related to aviation security systems. In the early stages of research for this paper I found out that logistics is a very broad topic and aviation security is also very extensive. I started off with a little background into aviation logistics and wrote about some of the important events that happened in aviation security throughout the history of aviation. What I saw early in the research was how logistics has evolved into today’s complex aviation logistical system and also the importance that aviation logistics has on our economy. After creating a solid foundation on aviation logistics I did some research on the development of the aviation security system that protects the airways. It was interesting to me how aviation logistics relies on separate security systems working primarily together to manage the ability to utilize a layered security system. For the most part in the development of this research I used good information from Jeffrey C. Price and Jeffrey S. Forrest’s book, Practical Aviation Security: Predicting and Preventing Future Threats. From this text I went with some information Price and Forrest wrote on the...
