Should Companies Reinstate Tiger

The question raised is if companies should reinstate Tiger Woods now that his troubles are over. I will start out by giving a brief history of Tiger Woods, his golfing background as well as his endorsement deals. I would then give my opinion on whether they should have signed him on in the first place and then why, if at all, they should sign him back.

First off, I will give you some background on Tiger Woods. He started golfing at a very young age. He was on television showing off his skills by the age of two. At age three, he was shooting a nine hole course with a score of 48 and at age five, he appeared on a Golf Digest magazine cover and graced the television screen once again. At eight years old he entered a 9-10 year old event and won it. He went on to win the Junior World Championships six times, including four consecutive wins from 1988 to 1991. Woods was the youngest ever U.S. Junior Amateur in 1991 at the age of 15 and defended this title the following year becoming the first multiple winner. He also competed in his first PGA tour event and was named Amateur Player of the Year for 3 different magazines. He went on to win a few more amateur competitions and defended his amateur title for the third year in a row. He still remains the youngest and only multiple winners in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship. He turned professional in 1996 where his career accomplishments include winning 71 official PGA Tour events including 14 majors. He was immediately signed by Nike and Titleist for a combined 60 Million. He gave the sport a new beginning. The ethical question here is why was he was signed by these companies?
