I was marked UA for from multiple official musters. I was marked Unauthorized Absence for from FEP, as well as a Unauthorized Absence for from official muster at a company weekly training. I missed out on important training for the week as well as a chance to improve my Physical Fitness Test results. It is command mandated that personnel who are assigned FEP attend in order to make sure that they have every possible tool at their disposal to succeed.

There are few things in the military that are hard to do. The military sets you up for success. They give you everything that you need. They tell you what to where, where to be, and what time to be there. After that it is up to the service member to do it.

If you decide that you would rather not then there are consequences that you will suffer. For intense if you decide that you would rather sleep a little later than you should, and fail to be at your appointed place of duty at the appropriate time. You can get a counseling chit. From there it can go to a report chit. After that it can be followed by a Disciplinary Review board, most commonly known as DRB. If after that they decide that it needs to go up they can refer the matter to XOI. At XOI if the XO feels the need to get the Commanding Officer involved the XO can recommend Captains Mast.

If you are marked for an Unauthorized Absence your supervisor can give you a counseling chit on the first offense. Due to the fact that it is a serious offence. If you did not show up at your appointed place of duty at the appointed time your supervisor has to inform his / her supervisor of your absence. They are responsible for you.

If you are not in the appointed place you are hindering the commands readiness. In turn you are not just hurting one person but the command in whole. I will put it this way, if you have a critical position and you are the only one who knows how to properly perform the tasks of the job that you have been appointed. You don’t show up...
