FOR THE COMPANY’S FUTURE

PROPOSAL REPORT

CITIGROUP RESTRUCUTRING AND ETHICS PLAN

Citigroup’s reputation and solid foundation are currently being tested throughout the world. With the Federal Government inquiry on some of our practices the public is becoming wary of our internal practices which are causing them to distrust our organization as a whole. Our company is facing a huge decline in stock price and we are being forced to close many companies throughout the world. It is time that we take this company on a new path and turn it around. This plan should include employee training, enhance focus on talent and development, improve overall communication skills, and strengthen internal controls, balance performance measures and compensation. Citigroup needs to continually communicate our reformed organizational culture to the public. We need to first and foremost admit our mistakes and lead by example for fixing this problem. We will take strategic steps to correct any wrong doing by our employees. We should begin this entire process in our board room coming up with some common issues, develop a plan, and consistent answers. We then will need to go public and I suggest we do it through the media. We will need to schedule a televised broadcast outlining our strategic plan. I believe this will help restore confidence in our organization.
