Cell phones have come such a long way since their first debut to the public in 1984. The very first cellular phone available was from Motorola and weighed two pounds and only offered thirty minutes of talk time after a complete charge with no additional features at the time it was produced, but then it was simply a technology break through to have been able to produce such a product in the first place. Although all the talk was about creating a cellular phone in the years before no one really new how to go about doing it and technology needed time to figure out a way to support it. So not having features was not a big concern for the many that stood in line to purchase the new must have invention for a total of 3,999 dollars, before taxes of course! The phone was so big and bulky at the time it was nicknamed, ‘The Brick’; being as big as a brick and probably just as heavy. Now in today’s technology of cell phones, consumers only stand in lines for the new creative inventions that features have to offer. Features enhance our lives and put memories at our finger tips. Convenience is the new age of technology and everything is made more convenient with the use of cell phones. In our world of technology today it’s absolutely essential to have a cell phone.

 Mobility has been made so much easier now that cell phones have smaller batteries allowing them to be more energy efficient and to hold longer chargers. Accessories that are available in stores now for convenience with mobility are car chargers, headsets and ear pieces that allow for safety when operating any machinery; personal or work vehicles. A really helpful feature to mobility is voice dial-up. This allows you to simply say the name of the person you wish to call without holding the phone or having to look down for dialing purposes making connecting with others easy.
