In the past years, antibiotics have been critical in the fight against infectious diseases caused by bacteria and other microbes. However, microbes became resistant to antibiotic drug therapy that are causing public health problems. According to CDC(2007) stated that every time a person takes antibiotics, sensitive bacteria are killed but resistant germs may be left to grow and multiply. Repeated and improper uses of antibiotics are primary causes of the increase in drug-resistant bacteria. International travel and global trade are more widespread than ever before and these activities accelerate the movement of antibiotic resistant genes.

Because of Fast Internet technology , people buy antibiotics from online access without prescription from health care providers, and easy access of antibiotics drive antimicrobial resistance. Foods that are distributed on global scale today carry antibiotic resistant microorganisms and genes. Low concentrations of antibiotics could enrich for resistance. The current practices are not adequate to prevent antimicrobial resistance .However, Few strategies to address this problem is appropriate use of existing antibiotics which can limit the spread of antibiotic resistance, preserving antibiotics for future.

Public should not pressure the physicians for prescription of antibiotics. CDC (2007) pointed out that public can play a role in reducing the threat of antimicrobial resistance by not pressuring their physicians for antibiotics. In addition to this, Health care providers can prevent antibiotic resistance by insuring prompt diagnosis and treatment of infection. Access to more rapid diagnostic tests that could determine the causative agent and antibiotic susceptibility of infections could inform better decision making with respect to antibiotics use and help slow the selection of resistant strains in clinical settings. To get a clear solution for this problem, Public, Industry, and policy makers must work together to...
