         Has the law satisfied its purpose?

The law has satisfied its purposes in many ways. By law, students with disabilities are now guaranteed a free and appropriate public education. I believe that that law has satisfied its purpose of IDEA 2004 (Individuals with Disabilities Education improvement Act) because it now provides for students with disabilities and guarantees them the education that all other students get. It also prevents any discrimination in the classrooms as well. Individual students with disabilities now have special education teachers to help them succeed in education.

         In what ways does it affect diverse learners?

IDEA 2004 affects diverse learners in a positive way. They are now provided with teachers and the tools they need to excel in the classroom. They are able to get special attention to their individual needs.

         How does Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 contrast with IDEA 2004?

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 authorizes federal support for the rehabilitation and training of individuals with mental or physical disabilities. IDEA 2004 guarantees that students with disabilities get specialized aid to ensure their education. Because IDEA 2004 have certain definitions as to what disabilities may allow you to qualify, Section 504 protects students who may have communicable diseases, temporary disabilities, asthma, allergies, etc., or in other words, those who do not qualify under IDEA 2004.

         Is there room for improvement?

I believe that there is always room for improvement. Although IDEA 2004 has provided many benefits for students with disabilities, there should always be opportunities for all students, regardless of any disability or not, to obtain an education.
