The organization that I am going to be doing my work on is the United States Marine Corps. As you already know that the Marine Corps is part of the Armed Services. The Marine Corps was established in 10 November 1775. Since the establishment of the Marine Corps it has been in many major battle and conflicts that has help shape the history of this great nation and allowed us to continue to exercise our human and civil rights. The Marine Corps take pride in the values that each and every Marine should display which is honor, courage and commitment. The Marine Corps is very similar to the civilian companies and organization when it comes to structure and organizational output.

What makes the Marine Corps different is not only are we held to civilian laws but we are also governed by rules and regulations from the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Most of the time these rules are put into place do to a significant event that sparks the attention of higher headquarters. Basically lessons learned type of changes. When you decide to become one of the finest a U.S. Marine you know that you will be challenged physically and mentally which means make good decisions. With that come making the right choices and doing the right thing. As Marines we are morally expected to do the right thing even when no one is around because of our core values of honor, courage and commitment. Then Marine Corps handles moral problems on a case by case basis. Sometimes if the issue sparks national new like the Marines that were shown on television burning the Korean in Afghanistan, required polices to be implemented throughout the Marine Corps that will prevent future events from happening. Other times moral problems are address in a one on one setting to address the situation and correct deficiencies as needed. Individuals making the ruling on what will happen take into consideration many things before implementing punishment to a Marine.
