Abstract

Mutual fund managers are like a real estate agent as they work on behalf of his or her client and receive a percentage of the profits from their time management and investment. As the investment guru for corporations, a fund manager must analyze if an investment is a wise choice and have a sound strategic plan for meeting the goal for the benefit of the company they represent. Risks are almost always involved in investing assets, so the fund manager must have educational and professional experience in this field with long term stability and sound portfolio. This paper has already examined and explained General Electric Corporation (GE) and determined through a business analysis that this company would be a wise investment through SWOT analysis and other research. Now we will research the company’s environment and investigate and review the financial health of GE.

General Electric (GE) is a diversified technology, media and, financial services company. Its products and services include aircraft engines, power generation, water processing, security technology, medical imaging business and consumer financing media content and industrial products. The company serves customers in more than 100 countries. It has 285 manufacturing plants in 40 states in the United States and Puerto Rico and 245 manufacturing plants in 41 other countries. And operates through five business segments: capital finance, technology infrastructure, energy infrastructure, NBC universal, and, consumer and industrial.
