An Unhealthy Habit

Have you ever tried to smoke? Most the people have tried to smoke at least once in their life's. However, dark lips and yellow fingers and teeth are the common look between smokers. “It is the nicotine in cigarettes that stains the fingers and teeth yellow. Nicotine is absorbed through the skin and the mucosal lining of the mouth and nose. It is also absorbed when you inhale smoke into your lungs” (Health Canada, 2009). Moreover, smoking is the slow way to suicide. Besides that, smoking is likely one of the hardest addictions to quit. People know that cigarettes cause a lot of bad effects on their body, but they still smoke. A lot of methods have been developed from different organizations to help people quit smoking. For example, some companies provide a gum that contains Nicotine to help people quit smoking. Quitting smoking is the best thing you can do to improve your life and health. People should quit smoking because it causes cancer, affects other people health in a bad way, and wastes money.

The first thing people see when they are buying cigarettes is a picture of people suffering from smoking. It could be cancer or another disease. “ Cancer was one of the first diseases that researchers linked to cigarette smoking, and it continues to be smoking's most notorious health effect. Cigarette smoking and tobacco use causes about one-third of all cancer deaths in the United States” ( Everyday Health, 2009). No doubt, smokers and non-smokers know deep inside that smoking is the way to die slowly. Also, research shows that smoking could be the main cause of cancer in some cases. Because of that, people should be more aware of their health and start trying to quit smoking; even though, it could be hard for some people based on the addicted cause by the cigarette.
