A. Management Summary
This purpose of this feasibility paper to inform the executive management on the
current status of Huffman Trucking. The company’s current system and how to
improve the current old filing system by implementing modern technology to go
paperless which will improve daily operations towards its customer.
B. Introduction
I. History
Huffman Trucking has been in business since 1936 and with 1,400
employees, 800 tractor trailers in different locations a more modern system should be
in place to be able to handle in a more efficient way the customer information it has
gathered over the years.
II. Issues
Huffman Trucking has been doing business in a paper environment and
storing information in files. This information is stored in different locations and time
consuming to view. The data of these files are invoices on delivery, customer
information and payments of services. Storing this data has become excessive as
time goes on and hard to store in plain cabinets.
C. General Information
I. Assumptions and Constraints
Huffman Trucking has a sales database however does not share this
information with other departments. This database has customer information on past
marketing events and customer information however is only updated by the sales
force. Other departments do not have a central system to share information within
