History of internet

The internet was one of the world’s biggest breakthrough in technology . It first created by the Soviet Union in 1957, they launched a satellite called sputnik. That is when the history of the internet started , even thou it was a failure at first by the soviets which was called ARPANET . But later on, they did some they did some research about creating a system which can be used all around the world then they went and upgraded the system then it became internet in 1982. It was a tremendous success. People all over the world were connected which just a click of a button. The internet helped millions of business and also created multi-million dollar businesses such as GOOGLE, Amazon and so on. Google now makes US$ 37.905 billion dollars per annum and owns over US$ 72.574 billion dollars’ worth of assets .

Traditional media vs Internet

Communication that had invented before the internet is called traditional media. Television , newspaper and radio are all among the traditional media. Mass media is plays a big role in keeping the world connected for individuals. It has power to reach a huge numbers of audiences in a matter of no time. Television and radio are still popular although there is internet. People are still listening radio to get the latest news and still watching television to get the latest news. Mass media is playing a big role to inform something to people. In the year 1963 is when the television services started. Radio broadcasting services are the first introduced in Malaysia, followed by television. So those days people will sit around the radio to listen to their favourite programmes. Soon television is introduced; everybody started to sit in front of television to watch the show they like. Mass media give the chance for people to interact from far distance.
