Analysing and advert from Olive magazine

The advert is for RisoGallo pesto risotto

1 page spread, near to the front of the magazine – 60% picture 40% text

There is one whole image consisting of the product as well as the dish of the product when cooked. We can also see in the background onions and cheese, this gives the advert an authentic look. From the image the audience see’s the box of the product, which is bright with yellow and green colors. From these colour’s we can see that they blend together with the dish, which is also green.

The whole advert is plain and simple implying that the dish is the same – and only has the finest ingredients made in Italy. The white background gives a soft and gentle mood to the advert.

The logo “Numero Uno In Italia” implies the company is number one in Italy.

The font is formal and simple to read in black colour which stands out against the backdrop colour, as it blends together. The font is written like a paragraph which gives more formality to the magazine as it seems to be addressed to older audience.

The advert posses the question “Make genuine creamy risotto, pronto”, this quote relates to the product which is risotto. As well as this we can see from the product and written text that the product is ready in 12 minutes, again relating to the word pronto, which means quickly.

The adverts opening statement engages the reader to read on “Like to eat well but also eat smartly? Then take a pack of Risotto pinto, add water and 12 minutes later you’ll be enjoying an authentic, creamy Italian risotto”. From these lines the reader engages with the text as not only is the product quick to make, but is also healthy. Also the product does not have any preservatives and hydrogenated fat, as the product is made with the finest ingredients. Also the written text gives more options of risottos that the company offers such as Mushroom, Four cheese and sundried tomatoes. From an audiences perspective the advert not...
