|Diversity |The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect. It also means each individual|

| |sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, |

|Ethnocentrism |This is where people have the tendency to assume that one’s culture and way of life are |

|Melting pot |This is where diverse racial or ethical groups or both, form a new creation, and new |

| |cultural entity. |

|Minority group | A subordinate group whose members have significantly less control or power over their |

| |lives. |

|Emigration |Leaving a country to settle in another. |

|Immigration |Coming into a new country as a permanent resident. |
