Understanding Risk Assessments Processes related to Health and Social care

P3:

There are the following five steps in health and social care to access risks in a workplace:

* Look for the Hazards: look around in the place you are working and write down everything which you think can count as a hazard.

* Who might be at risk: think about everyone who is using the environment and can get hurt by these hazards.

* Evaluate the risk coming from the hazard: consider if the risk can be control or removed, or if it’s not possible to remove the risk, it can be reduced from high risk to a low risk.

* Record the findings: every work place have a different risk assessment forms but they all contain the sane things which include: the hazard/type of injury that could result/type of people and number affected/risk level (high, medium, low or 1-5 scale)/current control measure in place/further control measure required/person responsible for action required/review data.

* Review the assessment: hazard and risk assessments form reassessed regularly once they have been Witten.
