Introduction

Knowledge sharing is becoming part of the business process that identified has tremendous impact in business outcomes. Companies started searching for new methods to accelerate knowledge exchange. With increasing understanding of workplace design, companies are considering it as a strategic instrument for collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing within enterprise. It’s a vital factor for company to stay innovative under competitive business environment.

Workplace environment is essential for employees. In today’s context, employees have more alternatives for choosing their jobs especially for young generation. Thus, a friendly and user-oriented working place is crucial element that taken into consideration by employee to decide whether stays or quit this job. Researchers illustrated that working condition has significant impact on employee performance, the higher level of satisfaction they get, the more creativity and innovation they can be. Thus creating a harmonious working environment is likely helps organizations get the greatest return on their investment.

In the past decade, numerous of researches indicate that Open-plan offices proved to be value-added to the organization. The increasing need of mobile technology and collaboration with co-workers that made companies change the traditional layout of office. Organizations have implemented new designed solution with the aim at create a flexible workplace and being adaptable to emerging technologies.
