Critical Thinking Application Paper

This paper will define the decision-making and critical thinking process as well as applying critical thinking in a decision which is work related from a personal experience. Also this paper will define the benefits and the importance, which critical thinking applies to any decision making process.

The step after modest thought is critical thinking, it is when an individual comes to a conclusion how to handle a situation, which more than simple thoughts are put into the decision this is considered critical thinking because there are steps to follow to achieve prodigious outcomes (Paul, 1987). Critical thinking is without a doubt a process, it can be learned yet it can also come naturally to some.

Framing the Problem

Valentine’s Day was around the corner, becoming one of the top 10 florists on the west coast only took 10 months to achieve, through effective management, motivation, and teamwork. The underlying problem was productiveness; several employees could not convey to one another how to maximize their full potential, which poses an issue with production resulting in substantial quality of work.

Communication is and always will be the most important attribute that any individual may possess, knowing this helps with the next steps in critical thinking process. Management has a meeting with the employees, which unveils the identity of the issue lack of production causing profit loss. This is an important day to have all hands on deck, understanding how to be useful and not just standing around causing lack of production.

Making the Decision
