It starts off as just a tube, bends, and twists back, forming its shape. Atria are separate and ventricles are beginning to separate

Movement of blood from the heart to the lungs, and back to the heart

Ventricles contracting and valves closing

5. Distinguish between systole and diastole phases of the heart.

Systole: pressure with which the blood begins to flow represents the pressure of the hearts contraction

Diastole: More air is let out of the cuff, muffling the sound and representing the pressure of the heart’s relaxation

6. Distinguish between an artery and a vein.

Artery: carries nutrient-rich blood away from the heart

Vein: carries waste-rich blood back to the heart
