* What is it? Spread Spectrum Transmission basically gathers the weakest signal and spreads it throughout the broadest radio frequency band.

* Why is it important? There are various reasons why the spread spectrum transmission is important considering the several advantages it has over narrowband transmission. The security is increased, requires lower power, more information is transmitted and spread spectrum transmission is resistant to any interference coming from outside.

* What issues are addressed? Some issues that are addressed are special protocol, interference and timing in modems that are trying to provide the appropriate compatibility and connectivity.

* How does it work? So, basically an RF communications systems involves a baseband signal bandwidth that is wittingly spread over a larger bandwidth by instilling higher frequency signals. ("maximintegrated," )

Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS)

Guidelines

* What is it? Frequency hopping spread spectrum is a technique that utilizes the range of frequencies that change during transmission.

* How does it work? So, basically a short bus is transmitted at one frequency that transmits a short burst at another frequency, and this process continues until the transmission is completed. The transmission starts by sending a burst of data at 2.44 GHz frequency for every millisecond. After dwell time, transmission changes to 2.41 GHz frequency and then transmits for the second millisecond.
