When presented with a new career opportunity one must take into account the importance of seeing if the organizations ethical and moral judgments line up. There are many instances that might compromise ones beliefs if they are in an environment that has cloudy ethical standpoints. Although Benji’s job offer may seem tempting and beneficial from a monetary standpoint, is it really worth compromising his believes? The company New Gen is not the right place for a Christian like Benji because of their secular ways, long-term sustainability questions, disregard for partner companies, and the CEO’s mockery of Christianity preaching. These factors do not comply with Benji’s beliefs and he should not settle for a job that is not in his religious standards.

There are many ways that the company New Gen presents to be very secular and does not follows the ways of the Lord. The company is known for its progressive ways and even promotes “Planned Parenthood.” Psalm 127:3 King James Version states, “Behold the inheritance of the Lord are children: the reward, the fruit of the womb.” This bible quotes means that children are a gift, even at conception. A Christian simply cannot coincide with the believe of “Planned Parenthood.” This is one of the reasons Benji should consider other employment with more of a Christianity foundation. It was also revealed that the company was misleading customers and employees through false advertising with the public relations team. “The difference today is that conduct, whether good or bad, makes a much greater footprint than ever before, not only on human communities, but also on the natural environment” (Brown, 2005). The decision to join this corporation would have Benji contributing to this dishonesty.

Another reason that should alter Benji’s thinking process toward the job is the long-term sustainability of the company New Gen. History with the CEO suggests that he will likely sell the company after it has reached its peaked....
