Center two will teach students about intellectual disabilities. This center will focus on the topic of Autism. Students will have the opportunity to choose which activity they would like to participate in, as students with autism appreciate the chance to have choices. Students can either choose to watch an awesome video that follows a little girl named Rosie. Rosie describes what Autism is like, and chronicles the lives of other children living with autism. (Students must wear headphones while watching this video as to not disrupt other students). Students who would not like to watch the video can play Mad Gab. Mad Gab allows students to socialize, listen to what other players are saying, works on fluency, and is a structured activity with a clear set of rules.
