Should couple stay together for the sake of the children?

Can these negative effects of divorce on children be avoided if parents remain together, postponing divorce until their children reach adulthood? When parents remain together for the sake of the children, so does the family and the social network of support for the family. When parents are honest, at least the children can understand that their emotional reactions are based in the reality of their parents’ conflicts.

Blended family- husband and wife, at least one of whom has been married before, and one or more children from previous marriages.

Serial monogamy- having several spouses over a lifetime but only one at a time.

1. What do you think the major dating problems would be for the newly divorced man? The newly divorced woman? I really don’t believe that a divorce should have any problems with anyone dating. We have to bounce back after a divorce.

2. If you were newly divorced, how would you go about meeting potential date? For me, try to meet someone of the opposite race, try to have several date before calling it a relationship.

3. Would you use a dating service? Why or why not? I don’t believe in a dating service.

4. Would you place a personal ad in the newspaper seeking friends? Why or why not? I would not put a personal ad in the newspaper looking for a friend. I think that would invade mu privacy.

1. Have you ever reacted to a new boy/girlfriend incorrectly because of a past relationship? Explain. Yes, I have, I always felt that all men was the same and they would treat me the same way my past boyfriend have treated me.
