This is my Skills and Knowledge Project in it I will discuss my personal skills and values, career choices and their benefits and cost, and even how to get there. My name is Daniel Aceves; I’m a senior in high school. I have a couple of career choices that I have done quite a bit of research on. My primary career of choice would have to be a veterinarian. I would like to have this career because I believe that it would benefit my life in a positive way. This career and I both share a few values and have a lot in common, for example for this type of career you have to have self-control, loyalty, and passion. With all of these values I feel I have applied these to my life since I was born. For example I have showed self-control since from the time of being a child I could remember when something would happen; I would always seem to keep my cool so to speak.

This job also requires being very precise and careful about paying close attention to detail (Onet Online). I’m thinking of attending California State Polytechnic University. For an undergraduate tuition fee the price would be $2,736 for 6.1 units or more per semester (Cal Poly Pomona). I’m also thinking of signing up for the Federal Perkins loan, which is a loan specifically for undergraduate students. These loans range from $500 to $8,500 for an undergraduate degree (college scholarships.com). You start this process of getting a loan by taking the FASFA that is accessible in junior high and high school. After that they send your scores to the (SAR), which is the student aid report, after they look over your results they decide whether or not you get a loan (fin aid.com).

The course that I’m planning to take...
