Specific Purpose : To inform my audience about the sports drug those are used to enhance performance.

Central Idea : Sports drug that are commonly used by the athletes to enhance performances that give the side effect to them are anabolic agents, narcotic analgesics and stimulants drug.

Introduction

I. The use of drugs in sports with the aim of improving performance nowadays has become a major problem to athlete.

II. The International Association of Athletics Federation, the governing body for sport track and field becomes the first international sporting federation to prohibit doping by athletes.

III. There are many types of sports drugs but we will focus on three types of sports drugs that are commonly used by athletes.

IV. The three types of sports drugs which are in used largely by athletes are anabolic agents, narcotic analgesics and stimulants drug.

Body

I. The first type of sport drugs is anabolic agents.

A. Anabolic agents are defined as Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) or the version of testosterone hormones.

1. The anabolic agents are used to enhance strength and increase muscle size, and shorten the time for recovery.

a. Anabolic agents work as to increase the production of protein that builds the muscle and strength that lead to cells differentiating muscle more than fat.

b. During the process, the anabolic agents act as block hormone cortisol on muscle tissue that broke down the muscle at slower rate

2. There are many side effects of using the anabolic agents to the male and female.

a. A heart attack or stroke, even in a very young person.

b. Reduced sexual functioning.

c. Liver disease and possibly liver cancer.

d. Bone growth to stop before it is complete in a teen

3. This drug is banned in sport because it gives unfair...
