Being dishonest tell a lot about a student and how they see doing research papers and future homework assignments. Usually when you see a paper that is more than fifty percent plagiarized they student had no initial intentions of doing the paper. They were usually procrastinating, or did not want to spend the time to actually do the paper. Some kids say “oh my gosh I could so be doing better things”. By just throwing a paper together will end up hurting you in the long run even worse, then if you just sat down and researched your information and cited the information correctly. For plagiarizing you can be given a zero for the assignment and or even be kicked out of the course. Sometimes if the teacher feels like it was a big enough case, it will be given to administration.
