Definition:

Web hosting is the business of providing server space for web services containing files controlled

by individuals that do not own their own web servers’ .The web services are accessible to a large

number of visitors through the internet by means of network or modern. A web hosting shouldn’t

be confused with a web host as they are two different entities. To simplify: A domain name is like

the address of your home; web hosting on the other hand, is the space of your house where you live

and place your accessible web service files.

For Internet users to view web service online information, the web hoster places the website pages

(html, php, etc. files) on a web server which is stored inside a data center. Data centers are

connected to the internet with extremely reliable high speed connections so that the world has

access to the web files 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Web users access the web pages through the

website's IP address or the website's domain name.
