The definition of DNA replication- is a fundamental process occurring in all living organisms to copy their DNA. This process is ( replication) in that each strand of the original double-stranded DNA molecule serves as template for the reproduction of the complementary strand.

The reaction of a DNA replication.

DNA replication begins with the unzipping of the parent molecule as the hydrogen bonds between the base pairs are broken. Once exposed, the sequence of bases on each of the separated strands serves as a template to guide in the insertion of a complementary set of bases on the strand being synthesized. The new strands are assembled from deoxynucleoside triphosphates. Each incoming nucleotide is covalently linked to the free 3 carbon atom on the pentose. The second and third phosphates are removed together as a molecule of pyrophosphate. The nucleotide are assembled in the order that complements the order of bases on the strand serving as the template. Each C on the template guide the insertion of a G on the new strand, each G a C, and so on. When the process is complete, two DNA molecules have been formed identical to each other and to the parent molecule.

How does DNA polymerase enzyme relates to the DNA replication

During DNA replication, two strands of DNA seperate and DNA polymerase goes to nucleotides and matches it with its conjugate and synthesizes the new DNA strands. The role of the DNA polymerase in DNA replication is to read a DNA strand and use it as a template to create a copy of the strand. The new strand is identical and coplimentary to the first strand.
