There once was a family of five who was very close. The father worked daily and the mother stayed at home with the children. They were not rich, but were lived a very comfortable lifestyle. All of the family attended church weekly and were active members of community events.

The oldest daughter begin getting into trouble at an early age. During middle school she often got in trouble at school. At the age of 16 she dropped out of high school. She began to stay out late and associated with other individuals who were known to cause trouble. By the time she reached 17 years old she was using drugs. She moved out of her parents and began bouncing from friends and known drug dealer homes. She became addicted and this was the start of her criminal life.

After being told that she was unwelcome at her parents home due to constantly stealing from her mother or siblings, she began breaking into residential homes and parked cars looking for anything of cash value to sell for drugs. After being caught by police for breaking and entering she was sentenced to 18 months in jail. Once she was released her family took her in and bought her a used vehicle, hoping that she had changed. The first three months out went well. Once her family began pressuring her to get a job or go back to school she slowly started slipping back into the criminal lifestyle. It began with five dollars missing from her mothers purse to stealing and forging checks from the checkbook. Then she would disappear for days and sometimes weeks without contacting any family. It was at this point she hit rock bottom. She began to prostitute herself in exchange for drugs.

One night while walking the streets she was picked up by an undercover officer posing as a drug dealer looking for sex. She was arrested and sentenced to five years in prison. Along with the sentence came a mandatory drug rehabilitation.
