Mediation and Advocacy Literature Review
The human service field is dedicated in meeting the needs of the community through different programs and services. This paper will explain the connection between the human service field and a mediation or advocacy program through three websites. Through these websites you will see the commitment the human service field has in helping the community with life challenges that some are not able to overcome on their own.

Mediation is an authoritative tool to overcoming conflict. Mediation is needed when two parties are having a difficult time resolving their issues. The mediator stands as the person who guides the process without assisting either party in agreeing to a solution. The mediator must remain unbiased of both parties and the agreement has to be mutually made by the two parties. Mediate.com is a website set up for every state to have the ability to find a mediator. I found this site to be useful because it explain what mediation is as well as provides a list of mediators throughout the United States. This site is also broken down into the different areas of mediation, for example, family/divorce, elderly, victims, community, commercial, and civil. This website is easy to navigate and a great tool for anyone within the community who is in need of mediation.
