Explainations for my GPA being below the minimum requirement.

 Dear Admissions Personnel,

My family was going through financial issues and looked to me for help and contribution. I helped my parents with paying bills such as rent, utilities, car notes and groceries due to my father’s illness it was a rough month of his first hospitalization. My father was hospitalized due to his reoccurring heart attacks and eventually being diagnosed with type one diabetes. My father lost his job and went without a job for several months. This predicament became highly inconvenient putting more responsibilities on me while helping my parents pay for bills.**(you should add how y'all moved a lot, this sentence is short and needs to be added on to. Talk about what kind of distress this caused you and your family. Try to refrain from using words like "I", "my" or "me" just to make it sound more of a formal essay) We had to move into a home more affable for my family. We eventually became reliable on one vehicle due to a car accident my dad was involved in and my vehicle became to expense to fix due to mechanical issues **(This sentence is a run-on and I think it should be broken up into two sentences) . My last semester fall of 2012 at San Antonio College was the hardest because that is when my family was most reliant of me. At the time, I was enrolled in 14 hours and working a full time job. With the additional responsibilities of providing for a family of five, it became a challenge to focus my attention on school.

Eventually I decided the fall of 2012 was going to be my last semester of school at San Antonio College due to my family needing help financially. I enlisted in the United States Army and went Basic Combat Training (BCT) at Fort Jackson in South Carolina from January 7, 2013 and graduated March 21, 2013 **(I added commas after the days.).
