From Start to Finish: A Handguide to Successfully Running a Modded Xbox.

Written by Callum aka 00XeRo

I have written and compiled this guide to aid people new to the modding scene to set up their xbox and run it with a modchip. I’m sorry, but I only have experience with the X-ecuter 2.2 brand modchip, so they are going to get the most coverage, although I will provide links to tutorials for the Chameleon. But there’s more to this tutorial than just installing the modchip anyways.

I will try and update this tutorial for 2.3 brand chips, and eventually the new X3 chip.

(Click on any subject to jump to that section of my tutorial. If you want to return to the contents, click on the section title.)

*NOTE*: In the previous version of my tutorial…I said that the Lite and Lite+ chips could only be flashed once, I realize now that that was a misunderstanding, and they can infact be flashed multiple times. What should have been said, is that if you mess up your flash the first time, you will not be able to fix it without the use of a programmer. Sorry :\

Some things I am going to go over in this tutorial are:

▪ Helpful Resources

▪ What a modchip is going to do for you

▪ Deciding on a modchip

▪ Ordering your modchip

▪ Opening up your Xbox, materials needed to do so

▪ Deciding on an install method

▪ Installing your modchip, materials needed to do so

▪ Flashing your chip (making your modchip useable)

▪ Creating your EvoX boot disc

▪ Setting up your network/FTPing to your Xbox, materials needed

▪ Dashboards

▪ Apps/Games for your Xbox

▪ Upgrading your Xbox

▪ Case Modding

▪ Extra info/links

▪ Contact Me

So now that you know what this tutorial is actually going to teach you…let’s get this going!

If you mess up your Xbox, don’t even try to blame me for your incompetence.
