1. Provide a brief introduction and background on the issue.

The issue of Global Warming is a rising matter in the world today! America’s coal burning plants are steadily polluting the atmosphere, making people sick, and can directly be blamed for killing part of the population. Changes to the environment have been happening for centuries and will continue to take place. There are written publications and also people who say that the human race is to blame for these devastating changes. However most of those people are sitting behind millions of dollars or are the front-runners of these coal plants. They have no interest in what their business is doing to the world but to how effective and profitable the company will be.

2. Explain whether you consider this issue to be a moral matter and why.

The issue of Global warming is not a moral matter! Morality is all about deciding on the best courses of action in all situations. It is about choosing to do good before harm. Many people in the world agree on certain things and have shared values. On certain things there will be unanimous agreement and others, disagreement. An issue like Global Warming falls in a perfect category for this. Obviously, there are people who blatantly disregard the value of this word. There are far too many natural disasters going on in the world and to add to that with man-made natural disasters is catastrophic.

3. Address any dilemmas surrounding the issue that your local community must deal with.

The community I live in is not directly by any industrial plants so I do not have to deal with the issues of coal-burning so close to home. However I have many car repair shops and automobile manufacturing plants. I am not sure how I or my family is directly or indirectly affected by these businesses.
