Leadership is defined as the position of the function of the leader or the period during which a person occupies the position of the leader (HarperCollins Publishers). According to a practice, the traditional view of leadership was all about being individualistic. However the contemporary view of leadership is about having a collective mind, drawing people together for a common purpose and achieving the goals. For a youth leadership the concept is quite different. The youth is seen as the future leader (Mac Neil, 2006).

The literature review will focus upon the company that supports youth in its organization. The issues regarding developing leadership that support youth. A true leader is one that “leads their followers along the path of their goals (Gliddon, 2009). There are leadership learning programmes that argue to be a key to unlock the myth of developing leadership (Kouzes and Posner, 1995). Therefore the leadership development opportunities help in understanding and practicing it (Boatman, 1999; Densten & Gray, 2001).

Organizational Behavior is the study and application of knowledge about how people, the individuals and groups act in organizations. Organizational behavior encompasses human behaviors, managing change, leadership skills and team building and management skills. The leadership skills have to be developed among the youth in the organization so that they become future leaders.

The information from the company is collected by references into the company programme documents for the employees. Also the collective response of the youth helps in determining the relationship between the leadership in the company and the organizational behavior. In order to build the leadership skills among the people the organizations should focus on providing these skills to them than just the provision of technical expertise.

The companies should focus on people first and mange the changing workforce. In the words of Alan Keith of Genentech,...
