Kava is a small island country in the South Pacific. Kava has been plagued with unfortunate circumstances that have brought about on disaster after another. This is a country that is in dire need of some help and aid in the situation of getting the country cleaned up and on its way to recovery. Kava needs help in cleaning up this small island and revitalization is on the way. As a representative for Target Corporation my responsibility is to access the damage and see what our company can do o help with recovery to develop this country in the direction for expansion and future accomplishments.

My name is Nik, as a business degree student with less than two weeks until graduating with a bachelors’ degree in green and sustainable management. I have accepted a position with Target Corporation as a general manager. My first assignment is to begin moving my operation to Kava and connect with Alex, my new mentor and the company’s strategic planner. Nik would desperately like to help the people of Kava and become an active voice in rebuilding the island. Some of the defining issue within this scenario was that Nik was oblivious to what type of assignment she was about to take on. And when she got to Kava she was not really prepared to deal with the devastation that surrounded the island. In addition it appeared that the people were somewhat pessimistic about the help they were about to receive from the Target Corporation in which Nik represented.

Target Corporation has a small presence over in the country of Kava. Part of Target’s goals and values is that the company will have locations accessible to many of their current and potential guests or customers.
