How to Use the DVD player with TV:

Note: DVD player has HDMI cable plugged in, so just power on and operate. HDMI input allows transfer of both Video and Audio.

How to Use Laptop with TV:

Note: Laptop has VGA input, which only transfers Video. A separate Audio Cable (supplied) will have to be used if you would like to use audio from the TV instead of the Laptop. This Laptop DOES NOT have Office installed, only Power Point Viewer for presentation.

1. Turn on Laptop and Select the RO Laptop user. There is no password.

2. Locate the VGA and Audio cables hanging on the back of the TV stand and plug them into the Laptop.

2a. VGA input is located on the left side of the laptop.

2b. Audio input is located on the lower left front of the laptop. (This step is to transfer audio to the TV, so it is optional if the audio from the laptop is sufficient).

3. Turn on the TV (if not already on) and Press the INPUT button to cycle to your desired device (i.e. Cable, HDMI, PC, etc.)

These buttons are located on the right side panel of the TV.

4. The default setting for the TV/Laptop setup is EXTENDED mode, which means the TV acts as a projector. In this mode, you will have to drag the item/window you want to display on the TV by dragging it to the right side from the Laptop.

5. To change the setting (whether you prefer to clone or extend the laptop to the TV), use the following instructions:

Right Click on the desktop and select Graphics Properties

5a. this screen will come up. Select Intel(R) Dual Display Clone, and then click OK

5b. Click OK to Confirm the Change, and you will see now the TV has the same screen as the laptop. To change back, Repeat step 5 but select the EXTENDED desktop in 5a.

6. Note: If you change the modes back and forth, the TV resolution may default to hi-def 1920x1080 which will NOT be a full screen. To lower the resolution of the TV to get a full screen, Right Click on the desktop and select Graphics...
