There are a few different ways groups of people are indentified. You have racial groups which are a set of people set apart by their obvious physical differences; this type of classification emphasizes physical differences as opposed to cultural distinctions. Some examples of these groups are African American, Asians and Caucasians, even though they consider themselves the dominant group.
