My Pyramid Plan

According to my Pyramid Plan with less than 30 minutes a day of physically active I am over the healthy for my height and age for my age. It is telling me for Grains I need 9 ounces a day. For Vegetables it is saying that my daily intake is 3.5 cups and my Fruits intake is around 2 cups a day. On my Milk group I need 3 cups and last but not lest the Meat & Beans group that I need 6.5 ounces every day. This is what amounts from each food group that I need to intake daily, so that I can stay in my weight range and to be in my healthy weight range. For my whole grains at least 4.5 ounces a day. It is also saying that for my Veggies aimed for my weekly dark green vegetables is round 3 cups a week and for Orange Vegetables is 2 ½ cups weekly. Then on my oils and discretionary aim for 8 teaspoons of oils a day and limit my extras (extra fats & sugars) to 410 calories.

If you look at my daily Dietary Guidelines (DG) Recommendations my grain intake is 9 oz and I have about 9.1 equivalents so I looking good there. I need to work on my Vegetable because I only have 0.04 cup and I need 3.5 cups daily and for my fruit I have 0 cups and need around 2 cups daily, so I need to make sure I have more fruit intake daily. For my milk group I will have to work on more milk intake daily, because I need 3 cups and only have 0.3 cups equivalent. The meat group I look good at 13.8 oz and the recommended is only 6.5 oz, so most of the days I am doubling my recommendation for that group.
