Business Communication Trends

Business Communication plays a great part in my day- to – day work activities because it consist of dealing with patients who have different concerns about their insurance and how it work, frustrations on why they have received a bill from us. Many of the patient’s requests are sent via e-mail and that is how they expect a response from you.

When it comes to my job, I must say my company is not as trendy as they should be given the nature of our business, meaning we are a durable medical equipment company that deals mainly with trauma, but as far as the Patient Advocates we are limited to communicating with the customer by telephone, e-mail and regular mail or fax. Now even though my department does not really embrace things like “Twitter” or “Facebook” they definitely embrace the use of the Smart Phone and The IPAD along with their PDA and this helps our field operatives to get a jump on the competition because of the nature of our business in which someone may be having an operation and need one of our devices or even the hardware to complete a surgery. However, on a personal note I love using my smart phone for many things including being able to still do my DQ’s for the week but have not been able to put into actions my academic papers.

Additionally, modern trends and technology makes it possible to get in touch with anyone, no matter where they are because through constant change we become more and more dependent on the new trends that have been introduced to us over the last several years and what once took us minutes, hours or days we can now obtain answers instantaneously and that helps in business a lot.
