3 Leaders Styles:

Within the scenario provided, there are 3 leadership styles described. In the scenario provided, Executive A displayed a “Level 5” style of management. This can identified through attributes like being focused and driven, being aggressively determined and motivated, and wholly focused on the overall success of the company. Executive A does not seek the limelight, but is humble, modest and will shy away from attention. Executive A gives the recognition for the company’s overall success to the additional leaders within the company. Executive A will accept accountability for any errors and inadequate results. Also, Executive A takes great pleasure in evolving leaders in the company

Executive B would be categorized more with a Transactional leadership style. The indication of this would be the Executives attitude toward the “chain of command”. If there is a problem, question or concern you should go directly to your immediate manager and not directly to an executive. Executive B believes in providing recognition for an employee accomplishment(s), and rewarding them for it accordingly. Executive B strongly believes that when a task is given to an manager/employee then the will assume full responsible for it. If the task fails, then the assigned person(s) will be punished for it, but if it is a success then that assigned person is given the praise and acknowledgement for it.

Executive C would be categorized more with a Transformational leadership style. Executive C inspires employees to excel in their own self-interest for the organization. Executive C has the belief that that an employee can accomplish success if/when they are motivated and impassioned about the overall vision. Executive C will try to convey a sense of self- worth of the employee’s within the corporation. Executive C takes pride in establishing a sensible method to solving problems within the corporation.
