Mayo Clinic

The Mayo Clinic is best known for the treatment of cancer. It is a highly respected pillar in the community of Rochester, Minnesota serving humanity for 150 years. The humble beginning of Dr. William Morrall Mayo began in 1863 later joined by his two sons Dr. William James Mayo in 1883 and Dr. Charles Horace Mayo in 1888. The Mayo family was driven educationally to provide innovative medicine from the start. The knowledge of their capabilities grew like wildfire, so they added other physician and science researcher to become a part of a fast growing clinic. Mayo clinic was the first to start their private integrated group practice.

The Mayo clinic early on was successful with their unconventional method of medicine yielding renowned results working as a team. Students and physician came from around globe sought to learn of the Mayo method of servicing their patient. In addition, patient came from around the world to be treated and diagnosis by the Mayo Clinic. The Mayo Clinic teamwork style of caring for their family is established in two other states Arizona, Scottsdale/Phoenix and Florida, Jacksonville. The mission statement is to inspire hope and contribute to health and well-being by providing the best care to every patient through integrated clinical practice, education and research.
