Research Questions

After almost 10 years of war, a growing area of research demonstrates the negative effects on children, families, and the youth related military personnel. Children of military parents often go through various stressors prior to and throughout their parents’ deployment and when they return home. Therefore, in absence of appropriate support systems, such children may be more disadvantaged as compared to children from non-military or non-deployed families. Accordingly, this paper will seek to answer the following par of questions?

i. How does deployment of our military affect their children?

ii. How can the situation be corrected? In other words, how can we protect our military’s children from effects consequent from their parents’ deployment?

Methods

In answering the two questions, a secondary qualitative research methodology will be a preferred choice. This is on the basis that this method allows for ease of access to information, is relatively cheap, and may assist in clarifying past research questions. Above all, this method allows for a researcher to address areas of study that have not been fully covered before.

Research Design

In particular, this research will make use of case study secondary data. A case study research methodology for this study will center on secondary data that are used to look into technical sides of a modern phenomenon in its real life setting; when the confines between phenomenon and setting are not evidently clear; and in which several sources of attest are used (Yin, R.,...
