Control measures are known to assist organizations in becoming familiar with their employees, and determining which are competent in successfully achieving the organization’s goals. The team decided that the specific control measures we used were helpful in evaluating the employees at our customer call center for timeshare vacations. These control measure supported our decision when determining the efficiency and effectiveness of the employees in the workplace.
Organizations use control measures to determine how accurately they are conducting services, which measure their effectiveness, and how well they are achieving at their purpose. When using control measures there are guidelines that must be followed to identify how to measure efficiency and effectiveness. The measures should be analyzed in terms of how the resources are being used and the available funds and staff used to achieve the organizations purpose. The amount of resources and time being used to complete service, back logs, the amount of employees required and the efficiency of the equipment being used should be considered when measuring efficiency. When measuring for effectiveness the services provided should be viewed to determine if they are meeting the expectations of the organization and/or clients.
