3 Idiots

The story was all about 3 students of India’s prestigious college for Engineering, the Imperial College for Engineering. The film started with Farhan, one of the three protagonists, arriving from the airport and fetched Raju, his college friend. They were called by what they named “The Silencer” during their college days. It was 5th of September, when the exact date when “The Silencer” made a promise with Farhan and Rancho, the protagonist, that someday they will bow down to him.

It was 10 years ago when Farhan, a rich kid living his father’s dream for him to be an engineer, was admitted at the said college. There he met Rancho, a guy that we can say that has a little bit of everything, meaning not only scientifically wise, but also a philanthropist and a good guy. He was assigned to be Raju’s, a poor but very willed and God-fearing guy, roommate. Eventually, the three guys became friends. Being intelligent and very good in philosophizing, Rancho was often admitted in a class. He was always dismissed in a class. Here he met Virus, ICE’s Director for 32 years. Virus was very rude to his students; always expecting what he knows best and not considering other’s feelings, especially to his students. He ran the whole college with tyranny. It was best focused when Lobo, one of his students, refused his projects, delaying the student’s

Graduation. With this refusal, the student was left with no choice but to commit suicide.

At the funeral, Rancho emphasized that the case was not suicide but a murder. Being challenged with what Rancho said, Virus reprimanded him and bet him to teach him how to teach correctly. There he discovered that Rancho’s friends were Raju and Farhan, which gave him the idea that he must do something that will break the bond of the three guys. He wrote letters addressed to the parents of the two students, informing them that their sons were with a bad student and under a bad influence and there must be an action taken in order for...
