Introduction

The world is going towards a more sustainable development in terms of tourisms. Indeed governments are getting more and more aware of the impact of their footprint in the ecosystem; and that they have to preserves natural resources for the future generation. Pressured by the ecological and social crisis which manifesting itself from now on in a globalized way (climate change, rarefaction of natural resources, shortages of fresh water, gaps between developed countries and developing country, food safety, natural and industrial disasters), the sustainable development is an answer of all the actors (States, economic players, civil society, NGO) cultural and social of the development.

In Laos, since the Earth Summit, the Government of the Lao PDR has set forth the policy framework with ultimate goal of riding the country of the status of the least developed country by the year 2020. Indeed Laos PDR has committed itself to developed their country in a more sustainable way in order to preserves all its natural resources and handle the situation before it gets worst and settle a crisis. Through this study case, we will define the situation context defining the tourism industry in Laos, then the sustainable action plan, and to finish we will see the solution proposed in order to boost their sustainable development.
