Eukaryota- (animals, plants,fungi, protists)
archaea- single celled org.'s that live in highly alkaline, salty, or acidic waters.
Bacteria- single celled org.'s found all the way in the deep layers of the earth, as well as on your eyelashes
archaea and bacteria are the most alike.

By looking at the phylogenic tree we can see that all organism have one, singular common ancestor in our genealogy.

It contrasts with the tree because genealogy will usually be referring to one species like in humans when we talk about genetics that have traveled throughout just humans.
