Executive Summary

Jim Lino, owner and sole proprietor of James George Lino Construction, a small, high-end construction business in Marin County. Although the company does not advertise itself as a “green builder,” his company is eager to build more sustainable homes for every customer who wants one. Moreover, Jim considers a sustainable home as one that uses technology and design to maximize efficiency. For example, using solar or geothermal technology to power a home will provide the capability to save and store unused energy. Based on our in depth analysis of the company’s triple bottom line, stakeholder management, impact management, and reporting/ communication, our group will provide 2 recommendations to display how George Lino Construction can become a more sustainable company.

I. Company Overview

Jim Lino, owner and sole proprietor of James George Lino Construction, a small, high-end construction business in Marin County. He is a master carpenter and woodworker who has built over eighty homes in Marin and San Francisco. When founding the company, Jim’s goal was to build high quality homes efficiently.
