You are engage in export – import business and you decided to explore the opportunity to grow your business in Mexico.

A. What are the marketing impacts of your business in dealing with Mexico?

First of all I want to introduce to the Mexican market. Low manufacturing costs, strong macro-economic indicators and a surge in consumption demand characterize the Mexican market today. It is easy to do business and free trade is a reality, and Mexico has a free trade agreements with more than 40 countries. The government of Mexico has set an ambitious infrastructure plan that will stimulate many industries, such as construction, energy, transportation, tourism, water management, and telecommunications.

Mexican Industry is primary cantered around Mexico City and the US/Mexican border, and is a highly competitive production nation, and domestic consumption has spurred during the 21 century. Consumer credits are growing at 25 % per year and credit card billing is growing at 40% per year. It has become easier to buy on credit and several markets are growing across the country. The consumer company activity is spread out to several 2nd and 3rd tier cities  and are focusing their marketing and sales expansion plans to cities like Guadalajara, Monterrey, Queretaro, and not only to Mexico City.

So then, what are the marketing impacts of business with Mexico?

* A number of profitable efforts are underway in Mexico to transform and bring positive benefits for the good of all. Many corporations and individuals have helped, but much work remains to increase incomes in Mexico, where too many people are living at the subsistence level.

* The commitment to social goals needs to be pursued in a manner consistent with profitability. These social objectives are not sustainable without a profit opportunity to fund them.

* Returns are not immediate. Real social and commercial success depends on the ability to generate enough profits to achieve goals over time....
